Event Settings

The Settings page is where the main details of your event are viewed and edited. This is where you decide who can access the event, what time it will start and end, where users will be sent, and what users will look like when they visit.

Event Name and Status

At the top of the settings page, you can see the event's name, start date, and access status. Here, you can set your event to be either Open or Ticketed, where "Open" means that anyone with a link can attend your event, whereas "Ticketed" means that only those with a valid ticket can enter. By clicking the chain icon to the right of the access toggle, you can also receive a URL which you can then distribute to your attendees (if your venue is not restricted to tickets only). Finally, you can also change the name of your event by clicking the pen icon next to the name.

🙌 Even if your event is set to "Open", attendees will still not be able to actually enter the venue until your chosen start date.

Event Start and End

Here you can change the dates and times that your event will start and end at. These are the same times which you set when creating the event, and they can be set to any arbitrary time in the past, present, or future.

Setting your start time to sometime in the future will allow attendees to see a countdown to your opening time if they visit early.

Desktop and Mobile Venues

This is where you define which venues your event will actually take place in. This can be changed at any time without disrupting your attendees or any other aspects of your event, however any attendees who happen to already be in your venue will not be transferred to your new one if you change the venue mid-event.

Because desktop attendees and mobile attendees generally require vastly-different venue designs, you are able to define a different venue for each type of attendee, and any links or tickets which you generate will account for this. However, attendees are still unable to communicate with each other if they are in two different venues, even if both venues are tied to the same event.
