Using Host Tools
🔒 Host tools are only available during events!
During an event, you may want to have one or more attendants and hosts present in the venue to help guide attendees around. If you are one of those hosts, then you'll want to use Host Tools to make your job easier!
To begin, you'll need to be added to the event in question as a collaborator. For more information on how an event's owner can do this, see the section on adding collaborators in this article.
Once you have been added, you will see a "Join as Host" button next to the event in your events list. Please note that hosts are able to join the event before the event starts (which gives you time to do any last minute prep before your guests arrive).
âš Take care not to run out of collaborator slots! If you need more hosts than you have slots for, consider upgrading your subscription tier.

Once you join as a host, you will be sent to the standard attendee onboarding process of your event, and upon entering your event you will be provided with two new tabs on the right-hand side of your screen, visible only to hosts.
The Event Tab
The Event Tab is where you can find info pertinent to the entire event.
- Activity Monitor: This is a counter showing you how many people are active across all instances in your current venue (not including those outside the event).
- Device Switch Buttons: These buttons to the right of the activity monitor allow you to switch all other parts of this tab to display data for your mobile venue, or vice versa.
- Room Monitor: The remainder of the tab is dedicated to information about the rooms in your chosen venue; how many instances and attendees are in any room at any given time. Here you can also search for rooms or individual attendees by their names using the searchbar, receive a permalink to a specific instance, and teleport to another populated instance (button not shown here)
The Room Tab
The Room Tab is where you can see info about your current instance of the room you are in.
- Mute All: This button forcibly mutes the microphone of everyone in your room instance. If everyone is already muted, this button will instead send a request to everyone in the room to unmute their microphones.
- Attendee List: This section lists all the attendees in your current instance.
- Searchbar: This searchbar allows you to refine your list to only display certain attendees in your list.
- Microphone Status (not visible): This icon denotes the current mute/unmute status of a given attendee. When clicking this icon, you can also either forcibly mute, or request to unmute a given attendee
- Attendee Actions (not visible): If other attendees are present, you will have options here to either kick the user from your event, or void their ticket; effectively banning them. There is no going back from this, so use these actions sparingly!
- Bring Everyone Here: If other attendees are present in your event venue, you will have the option to teleport everyone to the room that you are currently in. When this is clicked, everyone else will receive a fullscreen countdown telling them they will be teleported, and you as the host will see a smaller countdown below the button. Note that if the amount of attendees exceed the maximum capacity of your current room, those incoming attendees may be filtered into new instances of your current room.
âš For privacy reasons, hosts cannot forcibly unmute attendants without their consent.
