Event Tickets
Your event can have one of two levels of access: Open, or Ticketed. The former has already been explained in Create a New Event; here we will learn how to set up the latter.
Creating a New Ticket
When you first access the ticketing page, you will be presented with an "Add Ticket" button and an empty table where each attendee's ticket info will be displayed.
To create a new ticket, you will need the email address of each attendee you plan to invite. Once you have this, simply click "Add Ticket", enter the recipient email address, and check the "Send a Ticket by Email" checkbox (if you want your attendee to receive this ticket by email). Once you press "Create Ticket", your new ticket will be added to the table, and your attendee will receive an email containing their ticket link.
If you would like to send the ticket through external means, you can also copy the magic link URL (i.e the ticket) by clicking the chain icon in the pertinent ticket's row under "Magic Link", or by simply copying the plaintext link next to this chain.
🙌 Your attendee will be able to use the ticket and visit as soon as they receive it. Make sure you have set everything else up first before sending out your tickets!
Resending the Ticket Email
If your attendee has lost their email or otherwise needs it resent, you can do so by hovering over the pertinent ticket's "Edit" button, and then selecting "Resend Ticket" in the resulting dropdown. Alternatively, you can resent multiple tickets at once by checking their checkboxes, and then selecting "Resend Ticket" in the "Bulk Edit" dropdown.
The resulting email will be identical to the first one they received (if any), and will use the latest version of their ticket link if for any reason details within it have changed.
Regenerating Nonfunctional Tickets
If an attendee's ticket has become corrupted or unusable for any reason, you can regenerate a new magic link for them. Simply hover over the pertinent ticket's "Edit" button and select "Regen MagicLink" therein. Alternatively, you can regenerate multiple tickets at once by checking their checkboxes, and then selecting "Regen MagicLink" in the "Bulk Edit" dropdown.
Note that this will invalidate the attendee's old magic link, and will not automatically send a new one. It is recommended to resend their ticket email after regenerating the ticket, as this will send them a new email with the latest version of their ticket. Alternatively, click the chain icon in the same row as their ticket to copy their new magic link to your clipboard if you would prefer to send it manually.
Voiding Tickets
If an attendee is getting unruly or otherwise needs their access to your event removed, you can void their ticket to remove further attendance rights. To do so, hover over the pertinent ticket's "Edit" button and select "Void". Alternatively, you can void multiple tickets at once by checking their checkboxes, and then selecting "Void" in the "Bulk Edit" dropdown.
Note that voiding a ticket is permanent; if you would like to reallow access to the voided user, you must generate a new ticket.
âš Note that voiding tickets may need a moment to take effect!
Deleting Tickets
If all else fails, a ticket can be deleted by hovering over the pertinent ticket's "Edit" button and select "Delete". This can also be achieved using the "Bulk Edit" dropdown.
Deleting a ticket differs from voiding tickets in that a voided ticket will remain in the list of tickets for record-keeping purposes, but a deleted ticket is removed entirely.
