Projector Zones

Projector zones allow attendees to present their screens to other attendees, or expand their own webcams and cameras for all to see.

The size of the zone that you define in the designer will determine the size of whatever your attendees decide to present. However the fit type of the resulting presentation will default to "contain" mode and cannot be changed.

Note that attendees can select from any screen, window, or browser tab on their computer. To avoid security and ethics concerns, projector zones can be set to only allow access to the venue's designated hosts and admins.

  • Projector Background (Optional): This determines what will be displayed in the zone when no-one is presenting.
    • None: Nothing will be shown and the zone will be invisible until an attendee hovers their cursor over the zone or someone starts presenting.
    • Image: Displays an image until someone starts presenting. Standard image settings will be shown.
    • Video: Displays a video until someone starts presenting. Standard video settings will be shown.
  • Tooltip Text (Optional): This allows you to set a tooltip that will appear if an attendee hovers their cursor over the component.
  • Permissions: This allows you to define who can present to the projector or remove others from the projector. By default, anyone who can see the projector can also present to it.
  • Broadcast Settings: Because there may be multiple instances of the same room with attendees present, this settings can determine whether presenters only present to their current instance, or if they will present to all instances of the room that currently exist, even if the presenting attendee themselves are not present in a given instance.
  • Silent Disco: Enabling this will cause the video to mute itself whenever an attendee in the room is not muted, and subsequently unmute itself when all attendees in a room are muted. This mode is most effective with "Mute on Entry" avatar modes.
